Description:Wild north poetry Eyes firmly on the 21st century, VALRAVN has officially released their second album "koder på snor" in September 2009. The first one "Valravn", released 2007, was nominated for three Danish Music Awards. VALRAVN's inspiration comes from the Nordic music tradition. The band manages to organically blend the smooth possibilities of electronic music with the raw sound from their ancient instruments (hurdy gurdy, jew's harp, ethnic percussion). The fusion of the two yields a unique and powerful experience of the vigour and life, which lies hidden deep in the Nordic roots. Playful, wild and gentle, Faroese vocalist Anna Katrin Egilstrøð lends her voice and charisma to powerful interpretations of songs from ages past, in Danish as well as Faroese and Icelandic. VALRAVN is flaming poetry, featuring elements of folk, rock, punk and electronica - a unique and overwhelming experience of beauty and life force.
