Title:Love Letter from King Tut-Ank-Amen
Genre:Oriental
Description:Mahmoud Fadl presents an instrumental collection of classic Cairo love songs originally made famous by such greats as Uum Kalthum, Mohamed Abd el-Wahaab, Ward and others. Recorded in Cairo and featuring TrumpetOriental grandmaster Samy el Bably, darabuka legend Khamis Henkish and a top team of Cairo musicians. Sinuous strings, rippling kanoun, dextrous oud-playing and the scintillating percussion make for a sumptuous celebration of the mysterious power of love. Inspired by the poem “Love Letter to King Tut-Ank-Amen” by the great Cuban poetess Dulce María Loynaz. Now, King Tut writes back!
