Description:This innovative Polish trio founded in 1996 has already successfully changed the face of their instrument: The accordion. Most of the music played by this ‘Trio Infernal’ so masterly is written by Janusz Wojtarowicz. The vanguard sound collages range somewhere between minimal music, jazz and disco polo - and meet the Notion of Motion: to redefine the accordion and explore soundscapes far beyond what has been experienced and associated with this instrument to date.On their album “Play-Station” the three musicians from Cracow concentrate their efforts on reclaiming sounds from the digital world. Six hands pick up electrically generated notes and turn them into acoustic anthems on their instrument of choice: the accordion. All of a sudden a 'playstation' offers more than 100 buttons!Bursts of sound or sparkling triplets, tribal rhythms, percussive notes played on instruments by Pigini, the ‘Rolls Royce of accordions.
