Description:This latest album, the sixth release on EWM, is a new highlight in the discography of this fine productive band. You'll find a tasty blend of African and European improvised music but definitely more fused than on other familiar work. Produced by Pascal Vermeer and Eric van der Westen this CD has a superb sound. It differs from the other Quadrant albums through its very direct, almost reverbles sound. The interplay between the creative musicians is just intimately fabulous. Because no extra horns are added, contrary to all previous albums, the group sounds very solid and strong.
