In honor of the label’s 10th anniversary, Doublemoon set out to describe the sound of Istanbul: its sea, streets, inhabitants and culture through the music of the musicians in its orbit, as well as by featuring two documentaries and a booklet of intimate photos representing a multitude of styles and sounds from the city. The mix on this album is a tribute to the fact that an audio-visual treat like this could only be born in the misty twilight of Istanbul. | |
